Good afternoon evening folks,
Greetings from the Austin Atlanta Tallahasse airport. Heading to GA for a lil Funga Roadshow.
More on this in the next Letter.
Transparently, have been feeling pretty scrambled this week.
I tried writing about it, but unfortunately, scrambled thoughts translated to scrambled writing.
The tl;dr is that I feel there are just too many things to do and not enough time to do them all (and do them well). And although this is not necessarily a *new* theme in my life, it’s unlocked a new level of stress.
Alas, we are trying our best. Here are a couple of photos from my gratitude/stress walks this week:
So, what’s the theme/agenda this week?
Since I am tight on time and mental bandwidth, today I’ll be sharing “a couple of things,” with less notes/commentary as usual.
Let’s dive in.
a couple of stacks that I read at the right time
a couple of tweets with some truth
(note: if any of my substack friends know how I can fix embedding tweets — ie. having the preview show up when you past the link, rather than having to screenshot — pls lmk!) (no, the “embed code” path does not work either :’)
a couple of photos with beautiful color(s)
a couple of quotes i’m pondering
“You will never find one answer to what makes you happy. There are many answers, and they change based on your current state.
People need to relax, but if all you do is sit on the beach, it gets old. People find meaning in work, but if all you do is work, it gets exhausting. People benefit from exercise, but if all you do is exercise, it gets unhealthy.
Happiness will always be fleeting because your needs change over time. The question is: what do you need right now?”
— James Clear
"To clean up your city, sweep your doorstep first."
— Kevin Kelly (h/t to Sahil Bloom)
As always, if you’ve made it this far, thank you.
